Event Branding for the Digital Wealth Book Launch

The Challenge

When JJ Omojuwa; Twitter influencer; Chevening Scholar; Founder & Chief Strategist at Alpha Reach; announced his publication Digital Wealth Book on social media; the announcement put Twitter on notice. Amidst the heightened anticipation, it was obvious that JJ had to back up his majestic announcement with an event worth the wait.

Published by AML Publishing, DWB was the most anticipated book of 2019; we knew the physical launch of the book had to match JJ’s status and the high level of expectancy expressed by his audiences.

Our Approach

We began by planning the event concept, design themes, agenda flow, guest list, promotion, coverage and logistics. Holding back and forth meetings with JJ to ensure our ideas were a match to his expectations

We opted for launch events in Lagos and Abuja, in consideration of JJ’s audience base in both cities. In planning the event agenda and flow we opted for a high profile convening themed Conversations on Democracy & Development (CODED) featuring high profile influencers, thought leaders and celebrities in Nigeria’s digital society. Both events were branded in the colours of the book and featured banners and props designed to reflect the digital theme for the day. AML provided multimedia live coverage online and offline and catered to all aspects of event management for both launches. Pre and post-event coverage was extensive and involved the creation of varied.

The Result

Both launch events were star-studded with panel sessions that provided deep insights on all things digital and event branding and trended with over 3 million unique impressions on social media. The aftershocks were extensive with DWB going on to sell over 10,000 copies in the first eight weeks and heralding a burgeoning community of digital change agents: The Digital Wealth Republic.
